If you play the вЂњDвЂќ on the D string, there is no slide available. Also, you can only slide at all if you are on the right string. No more hitting just one key on the keyboard and have a simple slide (like Trilogy). ThatвЂ™s tricky and requires a lot of practice. YouвЂ™d have to play legato, press the sustain pedal and release the target key before the slide gets there. However, you always end up hearing the target note! If you just want a slide effect without an audible target note, you have to be very skillful to say the least. Really takes a lot of practice!ДЄnother negative issue concerns the slides: Scarbee enables you to slide between notes by playing legato and pressing the sustain pedal at the same time. Yes, you can determine the string selection manually by playing a keyswitch in the upper/ lower octave on the keyboard with one hand but youвЂ™d have to do that at the same time you play the bass line with the other hand. This lack of predictability is IMO really not desirable, when it comes down to recording/mixing.

However, if you were to play a bass phrase over and octave and a half, say, three times, the first phrase could easily start off on a different string than the second phrase, resulting in a different sound (brighter or duller) and so on. This is what ScarbeeвЂ™s automatic selection is all about and it sounds very authentic. Depending on the string selection, the sound might be very different, even though you play the same note on the keyboard. You need to know how a bass player would play the instrument.ДЇor example: on a real bass you can play the note вЂњDвЂќ high up on the E string, somewhere in the middle of the A string or on the D string itself. I would give you the link but you have to do some work that I don't think you're smart enough to figure out.Why a '8'? Well, this instrument is difficult to play and I say this as a keyboarder with 20+ years of experience. you're just a dumb ass who doesn't know what the hell he's doing!!! you HAVE to have a krakd contact player dip shit in order for it to not go into demo mode after 10-15 minutes. not only does this one work great but almost all of the krakd kontakt libraries on here work.
